Assistant Project Manager

TRC’s client is a leader in mechanical contracting, engineering, design, and construction looking for an Assistant Project Manager on a full-time, direct hire basis in the Rocky Hill or East Lyme, CT areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Obtain, evaluate, coordinate, and distribute information and authorizations needed for successful project completion.
• Assist in the management of mechanical design build projects, including project plans, schedules, estimates, submittals, budgets, purchase orders, contracts / documentation, etc.
• Regularly visit client project sites to monitor progress and ensure compliance with project plans and specifications with a focus on quality, timeliness, budget, profitability, safety, and client satisfaction.
• Communicate project updates, changes, and progress to appropriate parties, ensuring clear and effective communication.
• Track project expenses and ensure adherence to project budgets; identify and suggest opportunities for cost savings and increased efficiency.
• Prepare invoices and billings for Project Manager to review and approve; follow up with clients on monthly payments and assist with compilation of the final pay application and lien waivers.
  
  

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or related field
• 1 year of experience in mechanical contracting and/or commercial construction experience
• Willingness and ability to travel to projects sites regionally
• Exceptional leadership, communication, organization, and analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in both independent and collaborative team-based environments
