Regional Retail Sales Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Retail Sales Manager to join our team. As the Regional Retail Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the sales operations within a specific region. You’ll play an important role in driving sales growth, achieving revenue targets, and ensuring exceptional customer service across all retail locations within your assigned region. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in retail sales, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

Regional Retail Sales Manager Responsibilities

  • Create and execute sales plans in the region to reach revenue targets and expand market share.
  • Analyze sales data to spot trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Lead and motivate a team of retail sales managers and associates to meet sales goals.
  • Conduct performance reviews, offer feedback, and provide training to enhance the team's skills.
  • Collaborate with marketing and merchandising teams for effective promotional strategies.
  • Ensure all retail locations follow company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, suppliers, and customers.
  • Manage inventory and product assortment to optimize stock levels and boost sales.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competition, and customer preferences for innovative sales strategies.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and analysis to senior management regularly.

Regional Retail Sales Manager Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Retail Sales Manager, preferably in a regional or multi-store context.
  • Exceptional leadership skills to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proven history of meeting and surpassing targets.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities to foster relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in using sales management software and CRM systems.
  • Capability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Solid organizational and time management proficiencies.
  • Willingness to travel within the designated region as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail sales management, preferably in a regional or multi-store environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and growing sales operations.
  • Strong knowledge of the retail industry and market trends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
