About the Role: Teaching Personnel is seeking a qualified teacher to work in a specialised school dedicated to pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN). The school provides education for children aged 3-19, covering both the primary and secondary curriculum. This role is ideal for those looking to start or continue a career in Special Educational Needs (SEN) education.

School And Pupils

Age Range: 3-19 years

Class Size: Small classes of 5-10 pupils

Additional Needs: Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH)

Key Responsibilities

Deliver a variety of lessons that cover the curriculum while fostering creativity and independence.

Identify and cater to the educational requirements of all pupils.

Create and implement interactive and multi-sensory lessons tailored to the needs of the pupils.

Promote inclusive culture, policies, and practices within the classroom and school.

Develop personalized lesson plans based on individual student needs and learning styles.

Adapt teaching methods to ensure accessibility for all students.

Collaborate with staff, educational professionals, and parents to develop strategies for student success.

Address the physical, emotional, and social needs of pupils, which may include personal care.

Ideal Candidate

Experience as a primary or secondary teacher, preferably with SEN pupils. However, passion and commitment to supporting SEN pupils can be considered for induction.

Dedication to helping SEN pupils achieve their full potential.

Clear understanding and promotion of inclusive education.

Ability to create tailored lesson plans and adapt teaching methods effectively.

Strong collaboration skills with staff, professionals, and parents.

Commitment to caring for the holistic needs of the pupils.
