You will

Responsibilities

Be responsible for supporting the Brand Marketing Director and Finance in the controlling of the marketing budgets and the delivery of the costs in line with the targets. The Marketing Controller will act as a business partner to support the Marketing team in managing the brand equity and activation budget with a strong focus on internal control and return on investment, making sure investments are allocated accurately. The following are some of the tasks for this role:

  • Cost controlling through the effective use of accounting systems, budget/reporting systems and meetings, for a portfolio of brands and product categories.
  • Challenge marketing and education expenditure efficiencies and ROI.
  • Assisting the Finance Director in the delivery of L’Oréal monthly reporting and the monthly financial closing.
  • Taking part in and supporting Divisional projects.
  • Provide support, training and financial guidance to the Marketing Teams.
  • Identify and inform Financial Controller of Marketing Expenses’ risks & opportunities.
  • Prepare monthly Financial and Management Reporting analysis.
  • Propose and lead initiatives to improve controls and processes.
  • Management of specific balance sheet lines under your accountability.
  • Build forecasts and budgets in line with the brands strategies.
  • Ensure controls are maintained in line with L'Oréal's group standards and support with internal and external audit.

You have

  • Relevant degree qualification or equivalent.
  • Studying or a desire to study towards CIMA or equivalent.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Outstanding rigour and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are essential as the role involves close liaison with the Marketing teams as well as the central finance teams.
  • Experience preferably within a consumer driven and fast paced environment.
  • Highly organised with prioritisation skills.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Highly numerate.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to influence and inspire stakeholders.
  • Financial knowledge and experience in P&L management, month-end/year-end closing, budget controlling and variance analysis.
  • Ability to work in an ever changing & demanding environment.
