Job Overview

We are looking for a GIS Technical Analyst to expand our GIS team.

By reporting to the GIS Analyst Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring that the technical specifications of the GIS projects you will be working on are compliant with functional requirements.

Additionally, you will be in charge of preparing the technical analysis of software issues in order to find a satisfactory solution. Having a previous good knowledge of software development methodologies applied to GIS solutions is a precondition favorably evaluated.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collection and analysis of functional and non-functional requirements and check of their validity, coherence, completeness, and feasibility collaborating with the technical/functional teams;
• Drawing up of technical specifications (e.g., definition of requirements, user stories, UML diagrams);
• Drafting of test cases and participation in User Acceptance Tests (UAT);
• 2nd level technical support cooperating with the technical team;
• Analysis and validation of geographic data.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Extensive experience on Esri Technology/Utility Network
• Prior experience as Backend Software Developer or as Technical Analyst;
• Knowledge of .NET and C#;
• Good knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming;
• Experience with SQL and NOSQL databases;
• B1/B2 upper intermediate English level;
• Passion for growing your skills and tackling issues and challenges by finding innovative solutions with a proactive approach.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Esri Geometric Network;
• Knowledge of Esri Enterprise Geodatabase Versioning model;
• Knowledge of Java/J2EE;
• Experience in the development of custom components for Esri products;
• Knowledge of Python;
• Experience in the design or development of scalable and modular architectures (e.g., Kubernetes, EKS, AWS, XML/XSD/XSL/JSON);
• Experience in the design or development of REST/SOAP services;
• Knowledge of Version Control: Git;
• Knowledge of quality code tools (e.g., Sonarqube);
• Knowledge of GeoServer;
• Knowledge of QGis;
• Knowledge of Jira and Confluence platform;
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps.
