We seek a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Full-Time Bioinformatics Trainer & Researcher. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and delivering bioinformatics training programs while actively engaging in research activities within our dynamic environment.

Expected Time to Join - Immediate

Job Location - Bengaluru

Work Hours - Full Time: 9 Hours per day, Work from Office

Salary: Rs 3.0 - Rs 6.0 Lakh p.a (negotiable based on Experience, knowledge & performance in the interview)

Basic Qualification & Eligibility - PhD in Bioinformatics / Computational Biology (PhD will be preferred)

Experience Required - 1 to 5 years

Responsibilities:

1. Bioinformatics Training & project work

• Design and conduct bioinformatics training sessions for diverse audiences, including researchers, students, and professionals.
• Develop training materials, resources, and hands-on exercises to enhance participants' understanding of bioinformatics tools and methodologies.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in bioinformatics and incorporate relevant advancements into training programs.

2. Curriculum Development:

• Collaborate with the curriculum development team to create comprehensive and up-to-date bioinformatics training modules.
• Tailor training content to meet the specific needs of different user groups, ensuring accessibility and effectiveness.

3. Research Activities:

• Conduct independent and collaborative bioinformatics research projects.
• Stay informed about current trends and breakthroughs in bioinformatics research and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field.
• Publish research findings in reputable journals and present at conferences.

4. Mentorship:

• Provide mentorship and guidance to individuals involved in bioinformatics training and research initiatives.
• Foster a supportive and collaborative learning environment for trainees.

Qualifications:

• PhD or Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in bioinformatics research and a strong publication record.
• Knowledge of Genomics and Genetics
• Data Mining & Data Analysis skills
• Demonstrated expertise in popular bioinformatics tools and software.
• Experience in designing and delivering bioinformatics training programs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Key Skills Required -

• Bioinformatics Skills - sequence alignment tools, software for next-generation sequencing, microarray, qPCR, and data analysis, tools for handling high-throughput sequencing data
• Programming Skills - You should be familiar with one or more of the following programming languages: CADD, R, BioPerl, Biopython, BioJava, and Matlab
