We are currently searching for Financial Analyst to join our team in our Head Office location.
This is a hybrid role.
The Financial Analyst is responsible for a range of financial activities, including the preparation of regulatory financial returns, comprehensive accounting and taxation tasks, intricate financial analysis, and meticulous submissions to the Board of Directors and committees. This role entails rigorous internal compliance preparations to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and organizational policies.
Responsibilities:
Regulatory Reporting
Prepare monthly and quarterly regulatory financial returns submitted to OSFI, Bank of Canada and Statistics Canada
Prepare monthly BCAR and act as a subject expert on OSFI Capital Adequacy Report (CAR)
Prepare liquidity monitoring ratios as requested
Prepare quarterly regulatory returns submitted to FSS (Financial Supervisory Service) in South Korea
Follow-up with regulatory representatives regarding inquiries about the Bank’s filing requirements, financial variances and the likes
Prepare compliance reporting including internal compliance, RAF and regulatory requirements
Maintain internal control requirements for regulatory reporting
Assist in compliance reporting
Accounting
Participate in the preparation of drafts for the unaudited financial statements
Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements and other supporting schedules
Assist external auditors on interim and annual audit
Prepare data book
Financial Reporting
Prepare various reports submitted to Headquarters in South Korea
Support in investigation transactions to reconcile BS and PL
Provide support on intercompany transaction reporting
Act as back up for monthly performance report and month-to-month profit variances
Act as back up for analyzing monthly, quarterly, yearly financial results and Bank’s KPI
Act as back up for daily business risk monitoring report
Taxation
Support in income tax and indirect tax preparations
Support in preparations year-end income tax provision
Compile data inputs for Bank’s tax returns
Prepare and report NR4 on Canadian tax return
Prepare and report PST
Monitor indirect tax on expenses on monthly basis
Board of Directors and Committee submissions
Prepare detailed presentations for Bank’s committee and BOD meetings
Other
Act as back up for closing G/L account of Head office
Respond to ad hoc inquiries
Maintain manual relating assigned duties
Skills/Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or other related disciplines
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (especially in Excel)
Excellent communications skills; both written and verbal in English is preferred/in Korean is an asset
Great attention to detail with accuracy
Ability to meet tight timelines
Excellent organizing ability
Ability to multi-task
Enrolment in CPA/CFA program is an asset
Banking experiences is an asset
Regulatory reporting experiences is an asset
