Bluehawk Consulting is seeking a skilled and dynamic Project Manager to join our team, responsible for developing and managing project plans and schedules within the scope of testing, hardware build, and production.
Project Overview
This role requires effective collaboration with stakeholders, meticulous planning, and proactive issue resolution to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules for defined scopes of testing, hardware build, or production.
- Identify project dependencies, risks, and schedule impacts while developing schedules for identified work scopes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure proper planning and execution of testing, hardware build, or production activities.
- Report project progress, including status, risks, opportunities, roadblocks, and KPIs.
- Monitor and report on supplier and in-house production progress through daily tag-ups.
- Identify and action change requests as needed.
- Solve daily project issues inhibiting supplier or production and/or testing operations.
- Perform operational root cause analyses for non-conformances and escapes, deploying corrective actions.
- Support testing operations by locating and obtaining critical tools and parts.
- Track parts and critical hardware through build areas in supplier work-in-process or at company factories.
- Manage logistics for cleaning and delivering tools or storage containers as required.
- Manage deliveries of non-inventory hardware, arranging pickups, or expediting delivery when needed.
- Bring in critical escalations, including Quality Engineers or Responsible Engineers for resolving Non-Conformances (NCs) and ensuring timely closure to support production.
- Drive efficiency of testing by preparing and releasing all documentation and hardware ahead of testing.
- Aid in the development of workaround plans when issues occur.
- Utilize technical skills with multiple software tools such as PLM, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
- Manage professional relationships across multiple teams to ensure builds are completed on schedule.
- Liaise between Engineering, Test, and Manufacturing teams to ensure work is completed on plan.
- Identify and lead the procurement of test hardware, tooling, or storage hardware required to keep testing plans on schedule.
- Proven experience in project management within testing, hardware build, or production environments.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with software tools such as PLM, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to solve complex problems and make decisions under pressure.
- Experience in root cause analysis and deploying corrective actions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP or equivalent).
- Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or a related industry.
- Familiarity with quality assurance and non-conformance resolution processes.
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
