Installation Manager

Position: Installation Manager

Department: Operations – Technical Deployments

The Installation Manager is responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and testing complex Guest-Tek suite of solutions remotely and onsite with assistance from a 3rd Party Resource. This position is also responsible aiding in customer escalations and should have a strong background in Field Services installing Voice, HSIA, and Video services in the hospitality market. The role aides in developing installation tools and best practices to improve installation processes in the Operations Department.


Responsibilities:

· Work under guidance and direction of VP, Operations to complete assigned work and improve Guest-tek installation procedures.

· Install, configure, and troubleshoot complex Guest-tek solutions and networking equipment including HSIA, FTG, and Voice related services.

· Install Manager will provide technical expertise and support to PM and Escalations Team to help drive customer solutions.

· Must have a strong knowledge of VoIP and telecommunications equipment such as Adtran, Grandstreams and alternative products, SIP, 66/110 blocks cabling and PBX systems (Asterick , Mitel , Nec , Panasonic, Cisco as examples)

· Must have the ability to install, program, and repair phone systems (repair not sure this is correct. and associated equipment such as Voice Mail, Call Accounting ,

· Manage the configurations, deployment, and administration of voice and networking systems including routers, switches, and call manager to ensure project SOW is complete to customer satisfaction.

· Should have a strong understanding of RF and MATV plant distribution and ability to complete in room testing to validate signal propagation.

· Should have a firm understanding of FTG head end, ability to peak Sat Dish, and configure head end equipment such as Samsung Reach server, LG Pro:Centric, and similar equipment.

· Aide in training and development of new installation staff members providing guidance in Installation Best Practices and Brand Standards.

· Perform hotel staff training for Guest-tek solutions.

· Document installation progress, update PM team, and review and complete testing as needed to complete SOW.

· Work under the guidance of the Project Manager to complete various projects.

· Utilize network troubleshooting tools such as packet sniffers and protocol analysers to help identify root cause analysis information.

· Report any customer, site readiness, and installation issues per established guidelines.

· Represent Guest-tek and ensure customer satisfaction with Guest-tek products and services.



Qualifications:

· Possess 5 years experience supporting advanced network deployments and expertise in HSIA, FTG, and Voice services.

· Strong SIP protocol experience – ability to read and debug raw SIP messages

· Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts including expert knowledge in 802.11, 802.1x, Radius, RF principles and equipment associated with wireless/wired LAN technologies.

· Possess a degree in Applied Information Technology from a technical College or equivalent and demonstrable on the job experience.

· Experience in Voice Service technologies; Voice Gateways, PBX, SIP Trunking, QoS, DID, and PRI configurations.

· Possess industry certifications such as CCNA, CMNA, CWNA or equivalent qualifications or demonstrable on the job experience.

· Advanced knowledge of switches, Ethernet, Internet connection methods, and networking.

· Advanced working knowledge of Linux, Switched, DSL, and Voice networking equipment.

· Advanced knowledge of ANSI/TIA-568 structured cabling standards.

· Excellent written, verbal, documentation and troubleshooting skills.

· Must have a valid Passport, and be able to travel overseas in case travel is required.

· Preference would be given to bilingual applicants.

· This position requires at least 80% international travel.

· This position can be very demanding, both physically and mentally. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, under tight deadlines.

· This position requires working with both technical and non-technical people, and effective communication is a must.
