HR & Global Mobility Specialist

Introduction

We are currently hiring an HR & Global Mobility Specialist our leading mining client in either Arizona or Nevada. You will be responsible for managing the workflow of employees and candidates joining our client’s organization across various global locations which include USA, Canada, Chile and Mexico. This position requires collaboration with immigration lawyers, managing expatriate transfers, and ensuring compliance with global mobility policies and procedures. This is a full-time permanent opportunity.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the end-to-end process for relocating employees and new hires, including pre-assignment planning, on-assignment support, and repatriation.
  • Ensure a seamless transition for employees moving between international locations.
  • Collaborate with immigration lawyers to secure work permits, visas, and other necessary documentation for employees.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of immigration laws and regulations in the USA.
  • Ensure all relocations comply with legal and company standards.
  • Manage the administration of expatriate assignments, including benefits, compensation packages, and tax considerations for USA.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to expatriates and their families throughout the assignment.
  • Develop and implement global mobility policies and procedures for the USA.
  • Ensure alignment with best practices and company objectives.
  • Regularly review and update policies to reflect changes in global mobility trends and regulations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, managers, and HR teams regarding global mobility issues.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including finance, payroll, and legal, to facilitate smooth transitions.
  • Oversee relationships with relocation service providers, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective services.
  • Negotiate contracts and service level agreements with external vendors.
  • Lead the recruitment and hiring process for critical positions across regions, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and compliance with local labor laws and practices.



Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in global mobility or international human resources.
  • In-depth knowledge of global mobility processes, USA and Canadian immigration laws, and expatriate administration.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and regulations in Arizona and neighboring states, along with the ability to recruit for specialized roles.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  • Certification in Global Mobility (e.g., GMS, CRP) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is considered an asset.
