What You Will Do
Develop and lead field & laboratory work to produce mapping & research of the glacial & surficial units of Ohio.
Write complex reports on the composition, character & distribution of surficial materials.
Perform particle-size, carbonate, chemical, mineralogical, and age-dating analyses.
Utilize complex GIS geoprocessing models for a variety of geologic, hydrologic mapping & other applications.
Provide highly technical assistance & advice to citizens, industries & governmental agencies regarding surficial geology, bedrock geology, mineral resources, geologic hazards.
Starting hourly pay of $27.84/hour with multiple pay increases over your first 9 years of service and an ending hourly pay of $40.77/hour.

Completion of an undergraduate core program in geology, hydrogeology or other specialized geologic science AND 24 months of experience in a geologic field, laboratory &/or drafting methods & techniques.
OR completion of graduate core program in geology, hydrogeology or other specialized geologic science AND 12 months of experience in a geologic field, laboratory &/or drafting methods.
