Enterprise Solutions Architect – Contract

KPMG is working through its partnership with MBO and is currently seeking a remote contractor.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate organizational change by researching technologies and defining technical strategies for KPMG portfolio and enterprise level solutions, supporting an ability to reduce costs, increase efficiencies, provide more value, provide more capabilities, reduce risks, and increase security; support the build of reference architecture and patterns for strategic technology
• Conduct research and participate in the development of roadmaps, which include product selection, versions, upgrades, projects, and milestones
• Assist in the evaluation of business demands in the early stages of projects to determine what software, integration technologies, system architectures, and patterns should be employed to meet business objectives efficiently; conduct evaluation of the technology which may require a single solution or matrixed evaluation of multiple solutions through research, proof of concept, or scoped testing
• Provide solution level technical design and architectural leadership, including documenting and diagramming the logical, physical, and process views across multiple technology domains
• Collaborate with project teams to assist in delivery of the solution implementation by providing guidance as needed to application, engineering, and operations teams

Qualifications:

• Minimum eight years of recent IT Architecture experience supporting a SaaS and platform centric strategy and implementation cycle with the ability to integrate in support of an enterprise
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
• Understanding extending ServiceNow, SAP, Salesforce, and/or Power platforms out of the box functionality to support best in class desktop and mobile experiences, mobile technologies, mobile architecture options including Native, Hybrid and Web and the applicability of each, mobile design best practices for authentication, Single Sign On, data handling, encryption of data at rest, performance, and user experience
• General understanding of SDLC methodologies - waterfall, agile. Background in development/application architecture preferred
• Solid understanding of operating system models (Linux, Windows), hardware architectures, distributed computing architectures, storage technology (SAN/NAS/DAS), server virtualization, memory management, networking, system maintenance, disaster recovery, database failover models, database theory and design, Security/Identity Management (Okta, AD), authentication and authorization (Kerberos, Tivoli), Business Intelligence platforms, dashboards, data mining and visualization tools (Power BI, QlikView), mobile application development and service integration
• Exceptional verbal/written communication, collaboration, analytical and presentation skills to lead an environment driven by client service and teamwork; able to set goals and participate in strategic initiatives for a team; capacity to foster the development of high-performance teams and interface with all levels of the organization; capability to participate in development of resource plans and structures and influence organizational priorities

The pay rate range(s) displayed is/are specifically for those contracted who will perform work in or reside in the location(s) listed below, if selected for the role. Pay is determined based on a variety of factors including market data, ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD, technology), and specific location, for example. Additionally, applicants may be required to apply and become employed by a service provider utilized by KPMG, and final pay rate(s) and/or eligibility for additional benefits may be determined by such provider.

$85 - $100 hourly (USD)
