Position Summary

The Specialty Director, Operations is responsible for providing leadership and oversight of operations for all assigned MCMG specialty ambulatory clinics & integrate MCMG employed specialty physicians into systemwide and medical center care line activities. This position is accountable for developing and refining workflows, polices and systems to enhance the delivery of care and service to the patient population we serve. This includes execution of operational strategic initiatives, meeting financial and quality performance targets, and maintaining high standards of care and service to achieve organizational goals and objectives.Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

  • Serve as a service line liaison for MCMG leadership, MCMF leadership, medical centers and employed specialty physicians
  • Facilitate improved coordination across specialty service line models, including MCMG employed specialists and the coordination with affiliated providers, achieve all quality, patient satisfaction and productivity goals. Ensure barriers between MCMF, hospital and physician initiatives are removed prior to any clinical impediment.
  • Helps support the specialty service line strategy and operations goals and develops programs to improve patient and caregiver experience and service line outcomes
  • Supports alignment of service line strategy to care delivery and executes on operational plan to deliver service line/special projects
  • In collaboration with Specialty Medical Director ensure effective and safe patient care policies
  • In partnership with Specialty Clinical Integration leaders, support implementation of new programs that meet community needs and strategic goals
  • Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities.
