Role Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION

Fanatics Collectibles is searching for a Channel Manager to help grow and develop our Hobby Shops Culture and Comic Shops verticals and Specialty Entertainment retailers with a particular focus on entertainment and pop culture-driven products. The Channel Manager will simultaneously own and/or engage with several high-impact initiatives that span channel segmentation and development, product strategy and education, and account pioneering.

This role can expect to: 1) Lead the sales strategy for entertainment trading card products in hobby stores (comic & gaming shops); 2) Pioneer distribution in small-footprint mall/big box retail, 3) Create & articulate compelling value propositions; 4) Identify, qualify and on-board new retail accounts; 4) Develop key trial and awareness strategies in collaboration with Trade Marketing, 5) Coordinate with Order Management Team to ensure accuracy, on-time fulfillment, and a positive customer experience; 6) Closely collaborate with entertainment product teams during quarterly product review meetings to ensure consumer-inspired design, development, and execution.

The ideal candidate has developed and executed channel pioneering strategies, with a proven track record of ably moving between planning, selling and operational execution. Experience building new channels and customer lists is critical to this role. This experience, coupled with the ability to leverage sales data and marketplace trends to develop selling narratives and programs will position this candidate to thrive in the role and grow this emerging space. Understanding of culture and entertainment products is an advantage for this role.

We are open to remote candidates for this role, though some travel will be required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, own, track and progress against comic channel strategy
  • Manage multiple logistics tools (ordering, product release calendars, product sell sheets, account lists) to ensure accurate and timely execution of key programs
  • Support larger strategic initiatives to drive increased Retail and Hobby Direct sales by owning new account reviews, onboarding, and continuing to drive fulfillment activities
  • Build expertise in Fanatics Collectibles hobby and retail products and be up to date on market trends and competitive dynamics impacting the industry
  • Collate & summarize business reports and create presentations to effectively communicate with a variety of audiences (peers, senior leaders and/or accounts) on high priority initiatives and programs
  • Collaborate with other business managers to scope projects, creatively solve problems, set attainable goals, and track / measure KPIs

Ideal Candidate

  • 5-7 years of work experience, with examples of driving revenue and market share in an emerging territory or industry vertical
  • Consumer packaged goods and/or retail management experience preferred
  • Knowledge of trading card, collectibles and/or comic environment, including direct sales and distributor environment is a significant advantage
  • Strong organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to prioritize, and remain flexible in high-pressure dynamic situations
  • Must be detail oriented, highly organized, and maintain both a sense of urgency & good attitude in day-to-day operations and workflows
  • Sense of urgency and strong work ethic with the ability to navigate the urgent vs. the critical
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written/oral) with proven ability to succeed in a team environment and work collaboratively with all internal stakeholders
  • Strong computer skills and aptitude in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft BI and SalesForce

In Los Angeles, the salary range for this position is $110,000- $138,000, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. This salary range is specific to Los Angeles and may not be applicable to other locations. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
