Brands You Will Manage Do you love wine? Are you intrigued about South America? Do you want to market and innovate some of the most important import brands in the VCT-USA portfolio? The three core brands you will grow include Casillero del Diablo, a brand born from of 140-year-old legend which, in addition to being the principal brand within the global VCT portfolio, has grown to be the second most powerful wine brand in the world. Next is DIABLO. Launched globally in 2018, DIABLO, is one most successful innovations from the company in the last ten years. Third, is Frontera, the #1 wine imported from Chile in terms of dollar sales and volume. These three brands are outperforming their respective categories in wine and have significant opportunity to grow even further in the U.S. market. Are you up for the task? The Role The Associate Brand Manager will be responsible for project management and assisting on the development and implementation of the strategic and tactical brand plans for priority brands in the South American portfolio including Casillero del Diablo, DIABLO and Frontera. This role provides significant opportunity for leadership and ownership as the primary responsibilities will consist of general management, support of brand program creation, innovation, execution of key brand initiatives, coordinating / supporting brand content creation, supporting financial accountability and P&L analysis, and regular analysis of business performance. Reporting to and collaborating with the Director of Marketing, you will focus on tactical execution of marketing plans and activations in order to keep Via Concha y Toro USA's (VCT-USA) South American portfolio of wines relevant and current with our consumers. You will work closely with the Concha y Toro marketing and operations teams in Chile, VCT-USA Sales, Finance, and Design Teams, and external agency partners in order to amplify awareness within the trade, media, and consumer segments. Location This is a remote role that can be based anywhere in the continental United States with expected travel of approximately 25-35%, both domestic and international. Key Objectives Deliver best in class execution of innovation for our portfolio Manage PR, event activities and launches for assigned brands. Execute trade events including logistics, sample shipments, and develop POS Collaborate with Concha y Toro global team in Chile and VCT-USA cross-functional teams as well as external agencies to deliver brand initiatives, maximize brand performance and business opportunities. Identify market and product opportunities, and execute plans leveraging category insight, sales and depletion figures in collaboration with the Business Intelligence team. Brand Strategy Development and Execution In partnership with Director of Marketing, assist in building annual brand plans, including portfolio management, compelling national POS programs, advertising, presentations, events and social media/digital strategies Execute annual brand plans for Casillero del Diablo, Diablo and Frontera to meet business and brand financial targets including product, pricing, merchandising and marketing plan, packaging, and distribution Act as category resource and communicate key drivers for product performance Identify competitively advantaged positioning opportunities for brands In collaboration with the Director of Marketing, assist with analysis of brands and marketplace Manage PR and event activities for assigned brands. Execute trade events including logistics, sample shipments, and developing POS Implement and measure effectiveness of PR, marketing activities, and event strategies against predetermined and agreed to national or regional KPI measurements Coordinate all marketing activities including partnerships, social media and brand campaigns Align import brands with global brand strategy from Concha y Toro Develop sales tools including brand presentations, new product presentations, product ranking, and merchandising recommendations Help develop, manage and execute VCT-USA sales incentive program trips in conjunction with the Director of Marketing Innovation Assist with execution of brand initiatives including new product launches, product improvement, product discontinuations and margin improvement initiatives. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of business objectives Leverage consumer insights to identify compelling new product opportunities Be a brand, product and consumer champion creating internal and external enthusiasm for the product line Coordinate with Chile for all new developments of Import brands Consumer and Marketing Insights Monitor, analyze and interpret market data to identify trends and opportunities and develop/change strategic and tactical brand and marketing initiatives. Includes monthly analysis of iDig data (depletions), weekly analysis of Circana (IRI) retail scan data and shipments vs. forecast Understand, anticipate, and translate consumer desires-through consumer feedback, market research, and category and competitive analyses-to identify unmet consumer needs and develop unique brand and product and category opportunities Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Business with an emphasis in Marketing or related field with a minimum of three to five years in marketing and/or brand management, or equivalent education/experience combination Wine and spirits industry brand management experience a plus but open to those from CPG or other industries who show a keen interest in wine Proven project management experience and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with mastery of details and a high level of precision in partnership with internal and external cross-functional teams Excellent written and verbal communication skills In-depth understanding of the Company's current products and future concepts Strong research and analytical skills Ability to think creatively and innovatively Professional judgment and discretion; Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and high degree of trust and integrity Budget management skills and proficiency Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions and changing deadlines and instructions Proficient in Microsoft 365 Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; internet savvy Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with all levels of personnel, as well as external contacts, vendors and contractors Solution driven with excellent reasoning skills Valid Driver's License; ability to travel approximately 25%-35% of the time with the U.S. and internationally Preferred Requirements Wine education or certification, a plus but not required Bilingual English and Spanish will set you apart Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 45 lbs. on an occasional basis, carry up to 40 lbs. & push and pull up to 20 lbs. on an occasional basis; requires ability to walk and reach outward and upward on a frequent basis; sit, stand, climb, crawl, squat, kneel, and bend on an occasional basis; requires hand and finger dexterity for frequent keyboarding and working at computer for extended periods of time. Additional physical requirements required as related to domestic/international travel via air and ground transportation. Compensation Compensation for this role includes a base salary target of $90,000 to $110,000. Actual rates will vary and are based on a candidate's relevant education, qualifications, experience, skillset, competencies, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.
