Job Description:

• MySql DB Administration, Provisioning of Databases, User/privilege management, handling day to day Db issues.
• Identify problematic session/sql, analysis of explain plan to check for optimization to reduce IO cost.
• MYSQL database Installation over Linux.
• MySql Database Creation, DB Backup Restoration using mysql dump.
• Experience with replication configuration in MySQL. Setup MySql DB Replication (Active/Passive, Active-Active) etc.
• Managing of Mysql Database on Active/Passive OS clustering using PCS resources.
• Knowledge of shared volume configuration of Mysql Active/Active cluster.
• Experience with data modeling in relational databases and writing complex SQL queries;
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and how to apply to DB environment;
• ETL / data migration experience with large data sets;
• Unix shell scripting and the ability to automate routine tasks;
• Understanding of MySQL’s underlying storage engines, such as InnoDB;
• Knowledge of standards and best practices in MySQL;
• Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL statements;
• Experience with replication configuration in MySQL;
• Experience with routers and database clusters
• Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications;
• Experience with ETL tools and data warehouse concepts is a plus
• Experience with MySQL Backup tools and Monitoring tools;
• Some knowledge on Oracle DBA activity also.
• Experience with Reporting/Visualization tool
