Construction Estimator (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities

• Adapt scope description for enquiry purposes (as needed)
• Develop/adapt Bill of Quantities (BoQ) for construction works, according to the proposal/project requirements, and coordinate material take-offs from engineering
• Perform in-house estimation of costs for construction works
• Tender construction works jointly with Procurement:
• prepare the technical enquiry package in relation to subcontractors
• clarify and evaluate quotations
• perform benchmarking
• Estimate the costs for temporary site facilities
• Estimate the costs for site management & supervision for construction and commissioning
• Estimate the costs for the home office (in-house) support of Construction
• Provide input to Construction Summary
• Support the construction portion of the tendering process during the project execution phase
• Clarify and evaluate quotations (perform benchmarking)
• Perform post calculation for the construction portion of executed projects
  
  

Your profile

• Successfully completed studies in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• Proven experience of at least 3-5 years in construction estimation, preferably within the (chemical) plant industry
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and processes
• Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools
• Strong analytical skills to assess project requirements and break them down into accurate cost components
• Ability to identify potential challenges in cost estimation and propose effective solutions
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, procurement, and subcontractors
• Demonstrated capability to make informed decisions related to estimation parameters independently
