The Technical Account Manager will have a strong science background, a creative approach to business development, and the ability to work closely with customers and sales teams. The Technical Account Manager will play a key role in developing new business pipelines while providing technical support to the business and generating growth.

Essential Job Duties

  • Conduct research and stay abreast of industry trends to ensure innovation and uniqueness in product offerings
  • Work with quality assurance teams to establish and maintain product quality standards
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the sales team during customer interactions
  • Assist in requesting technical documentation, presentations, and product specifications for sales purposes
  • Engage with customers to understand their specific needs and challenges
  • Tailor technical information to address customer inquiries and demonstrate the value of new food products
  • Conduct market research to identify gaps in the market and opportunities for new food ingredient products
  • Continually and pro-actively partner with sales teams and customers to drive sales of client collection items
  • Collaborate with client marketing teams to align product offerings with market demands
  • Develop marketing collateral and technical documentation for product communication
  • Assist in the planning and execution of product launches, including providing training to sales teams, and customer-facing staff
  • Build an awareness of client’s presence in the science-backed, branded ingredients category by:

Being a strong ambassador & educator internally within the organization.

Develop strong relationships in all functions with the client and customer to execute projects.

Build awareness of new opportunities through internal networks.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in food technology, food science, or food related discipline
  • Knowledge of current food legislation and industry standards, required
  • 2 years of proven experience in a Technical Account Manager role, or similar. Previous experience in a B2B environment, a plus!
  • Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, required
  • Commercially driven with an aptitude and track record delivering business growth.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and curious mindset to solve problems.
  • Strong execution skills yet displaying the ability to adopt a strategic approach.
  • Experience converting complex technical projects winning with key CPG & emerging accounts.
  • Adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines
  • Effective communication skills required. Must have the capability to translate technical jargon into clear and understandable language for non-technical stakeholders and team members
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with strong adaptability, creativity, and drive to succeed
  • Strong team player; motivated and extremely customer centric

  • Employment Type- Full-time, permanent
  • Location- Candidates must reside in one of the following locations:

Near Beloit, Wisconsin

Chicagoland area of Illinois

Bellevue/Greater Seattle Area in Washington

  • Work Schedule- Dependent on candidate’s physical location:

Near Beloit, Wisconsin: Remote/Hybrid

Chicagoland area of Illinois: Remote/Hybrid (office in Bensenville, IL)

Bellevue/Greater Seattle Area in Washington: 4 days in office, 1 day remote


Physical Demands

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position
  • Must be able to operate a computer


Travel Required

  • Up to 30%
