Overview
The Project Coordinator will support project managers with planning and scheduling key events, milestones for projects. This position will also coordinate and conduct reviews with project managers on project schedules. Additionally, the project coordinator assists the project management department in updating reports and other deliverables as needed and coordination of inputs required across project disciplines supporting the projects (procurement, engineering, SW, controls, integration management, etc.). The project coordinator role is designed to provide direct growth potential into a Project Management role.
Responsibilities
Represent the interests of client in dealing with the project client, the client’s consultants and client’s subcontractors as needed
Support the internal workflow equipment and services purchase orders and change management documentation
Support the verification of incoming goods delivered against purchase orders and ensuring project folders are kept up to date
Conduct weekly project schedule reviews with project managers ensuring that the projects are kept up to date and maintained/updated on the project repositories
Support project kick offs and participate in weekly project meetings
Support the Project Management Department with routine audits of project deliverables and conducting gate reviews as needed for projects
Coordinate usage of tools and test equipment used for installation and commissioning of technologies between projects
Support project handover activities as projects are transferred to the customer support department
Requirements
Associates in Science or Technology field and including project management course work
Minimum of 1 years of basic project management experience or equivalent training or education
Primary experience preferably within automated material handling and logistics applications
MS Project experience
Good interpersonal and negotiating skills to be able to work in a fast past pace environment
Proactiveness and eagerness to learn and grow
Ability to listen and learn from others
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent leadership and organizational skills capable of managing more than one project of varying size and complexity
Demonstrated presentation skills
PMP Certification
Compensation
$80,000 to $90,000 annual salary, depending on experience
