Immediate opening for an Omics Bioinformatician with a biopharmaceutical company in La Jolla, CA who possesses:
Must have a Master's, Ph.D. preferred, in bioinformatics
Experience with metabolic simulations, simulations for enzyme-reaction pairs, and genome rearrangement analyses
Must have significant experience with Python, R, and Bash
Process genome information to analyze genome rearrangements, horizontal gene transfer.
Cleaning data, organizing data, and running prebuilt workflows such as QIIME2, Anvi'o, or VEBA. Non-negotiable programming languages: Python, R, and Bash.
The Selected Candidate Will Also Possess
Knowledge of running: metabolic simulations, flux balance analysis, predicting kcat values for enzyme-reaction pairs.
Understanding of trophic networks.
Tech savvy
Ability to communicate with colleagues across multiple disciplines

Salary Range: 130k-140k/yr
