Medical Assistant – Oncology – Full Time (Monday-Thursday, some Friday; 7:30 am – 4pm)

Requirements

What to expect as a Medical Assistant:

• Establish excellent customer service, communication, and computer skills.
• Multi-task in a fast-paced setting with clinic testing and procedures.
• Coordinate scheduling patient test with other departments.
• Enter registration information, scan insurance cards, demographics, and HIPPA forms in the computer system.
• Room patients and obtain patients’ vital signs.
• Collect specimens through established competencies and transport to lab.
• Ensure the department has adequate stock of supplies and proper functioning of equipment.
  
  

Qualifications

• RMA (Medical Assistant Registration/Certification), CMA (Certified Medical Assistant), NCMA (National Certified Medical Assistant), or CCMA (Certified Clinical Medical Assistant) credential required, or graduate from Medical Assistant program or successfully pass certification within 6 months of start date.
• BLS certification, required.
• Previous experience in physician clinics preferred.
• Previous EMR (Electronic Medical Record) experience, required.
