About The Job
The IB World Schools (IBWS) Manager serves an assigned portfolio of private or public schools. The function of the IBWS Manager is to provide partnership to schools and school groups such as districts and provide guidance and support so that they achieve their optimum teaching, learning and assessment objectives.
The IBWS Manager develops their own goals and targets (with sign off by the Head) and is responsible for leading cross-team and cross-department work, including strategic projects and programmes of work such as acting as the IB Programme Lead or Language Lead for the department. This post holder will act as the lead for the development and curation of Group/District/System (GDS) facing resources to support the department’s objective to maximize the impact of an IB education within GDS ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure efficient management of evaluation of allocated portfolio of schools to ensure consistency and efficiency among schools, reduce risk, provide excellent customer service and inform IBWS strategy
Guide and support schools in the process of programme evaluation and the self-study process
Ensure that schools can derive maximum benefits from evaluation. Connecting schools and school groups with ecosystems and supporting schools in sharing best practices within the portfolio/ strand
Monitor schools’ queries, development plans and implementation difficulties which relate to programme implementation to feedback to the IB
Identify programme implementation strengths and weaknesses of schools at different maturity stages and continuously contribute with programme expertise
Develop an informed understanding of the profile of the assigned school portfolio
Ensure that data relevant to each school and group/district in the portfolio is captured in the data repository and that the trends are analyzed to inform yearly plans
Act as the central point of contact for schools and groups/districts, maintain relations with schools and monitor their development and performance
Collaborate with schools and groups/districts to continuously support them in seeking to improve programme implementation
Accountable for cultivating relationship with most senior 3rd party representatives, e.g. president of board of education, superintendents of schools or departments of education and education ministers/officials
Build the capacity of new and experienced school and group/district-based leaders in understanding and implementing an IB Education
Build, maintain and expand a network of (new) external relations (educational, governmental, etc.); detect and realize new business opportunities in close cooperation with other IB departments
About You
Master’s degree
Excessive experience in school leadership.
Previous IB programme experience as educator, coordinator, administrator desirable
Familiarity with education systems and practices in at national/state/provincial or school group level.
Experience in education management, school improvement and educational change.
Experience in IB Educator Network roles such as IB school visit team member/leader, consultant and workshop leader and/or educational administrator desirable.

About The Application Process
The interview process is structured to be comprehensive and will involve three stages. The initial rounds will assess the candidate's qualifications and fit for the role, leading up to a final interview with the Head of Department. In the second round, candidates will be presented with a case study to demonstrate their problem-solving abilities and industry knowledge.
