Responsibilities:

  • Focus on all the Safety aspects of the Hydrogen Generation and Purification System.
  • Highly specialized knowledge of engineering principles, Safety standards, and global Codes and Regulations to ensure that the product design meets all these Safety regulations.
  • Completion of the validation, assessments, and documentation to ensure the product is fully Safety compliant with regional requirements.
  • Effectively communicates the capability of a system-level design concept to meet a vast set of requirements including a holistic assessment of alternative design concepts and leads the development of system-level requirements by working effectively with other engineering and cross-functional disciplines.
  • Maintaining and monitoring the gaps or limitations of a product line from a Safety standpoint and developing plans to address them as part of the product roadmap.
  • Working closely with other platform leaders to define processes and tools for the Safety management of Electrolyzers.
  • Partnering with the functional engineers in the planning, delivery, and execution of engineering plans.


Requirements:

  • Practitioner" certified resource capable of leading and conducting all functional safety assessments required by IEC 61511.
  • Hazard and Risk Assessment using the HAZOP method.
  • Allocation of safety functions to protection layers.
  • Generation of safety requirements specification for instrumental systems.
  • Evaluation of HW and Software design.
  • Documentation required to support end of line validation, shipping, operations, maintenance, commissioning, and validation.
  • Independent functional safety assessments at the appropriate stages.
  • ATEX assessment per IEC 60079-10-1.
