Job Description: Financial Forensic Analyst

Position Overview: We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Financial Forensic Analyst to join our team on a full-time basis. The Financial Forensic Analyst will be responsible for investigating financial data, detecting fraudulent activities, and providing expert analysis and insights to support legal proceedings and organizational decision-making.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Financial Investigation:
    • Conduct thorough investigations into financial data, transactions, and records.
    • Identify and analyze irregularities, discrepancies, and potential fraudulent activities.
    • Gather evidence and documentation to support findings.
  • Forensic Analysis:
    • Perform detailed forensic analysis using advanced tools and techniques.
    • Trace and track financial transactions to uncover patterns and anomalies.
    • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations of findings.
  • Expert Witness Support:
    • Provide expert testimony and support during legal proceedings, hearings, and trials.
    • Interpret complex financial data and present findings clearly and persuasively.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
    • Assess financial risks and vulnerabilities within the organization.
    • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and prevent fraud.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with legal teams, law enforcement agencies, and external auditors.
    • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Compliance and Regulation:
    • Ensure compliance with legal regulations and standards related to financial investigations.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in forensic accounting and financial analysis.
Skills And Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field; Master’s degree or CPA/CFA certification preferred.
  • Proven experience (3-5 years) in forensic accounting, financial analysis, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis techniques, and fraud detection methods.
  • Experience with forensic software and tools (e.g., ACL, IDEA, Tableau).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
