We are searching for a Credit Manager to join our growing Finance Team!

As a Credit Manager, you will be responsible for establishing open terms and managing order hold releases. You will assess the creditworthiness of potential customers, review existing customer accounts, and optimize company sales while managing overall customer credit risk and exposure.

How will you impact our organization as a Credit Manager on a daily basis?

  • Assess new account open terms requests and provide innovative credit solutions to support sales.
  • Coordinate with sales teams to gather necessary information for reviewing open terms or credit line increase requests.
  • Ensure practices and procedures align with risk management and fraud control protocols.
  • Administer and utilize the Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) platform for functionality, leverage the D&B platform to identify deteriorating account risk profiles, and analyze the cost-benefit of D&B services versus alternative credit reporting platforms.
  • Evaluate and validate existing account credit risks by identifying risk factors and predictors of future performance.
  • Maintain and update sales tax exemption certificates for state audit compliance.
  • Establish processes to audit credit data information.
  • Participate in the Master Data Governance Board.
  • Assist in credit and operations training regarding profile and sales tax exemption requirements.
  • Monitor and update companywide credit policies and internal controls.
  • Regularly audit processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation to support training materials and serve as a reference resource.
  • Lead projects or tasks as assigned.
  • Collaborate with the National Credit Manager to streamline reporting and credit department practices.
  • Support initiatives to optimize Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).

Leadership And Communications Skills

  • Demonstrate ability to work with a group to set its objectives, generate allegiance to those objectives and guide and motivate their achievement.
  • Ability to provide vision, leadership and motivate others in pursuit of Company goals, vision statement and core values
  • Ability to delegate responsibility and authority to maximize use of employees’ skills.
  • Ability to effectively supervise employees, including ability to mentor, evaluate and guide staff to increase skill level, morale, and efficiency.
  • Strong, effective written and verbal communication skills.

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, management, or finance required or a combination of significant related experience and education that is deemed to be commensurate with the degree requirement.
  • A minimum of 10 or more years credit analysis experience with strong knowledge of unsecured credit management practices.
  • Experience with D&B administration.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Must be proficient in SAP and requires an ability to learn internal database(s) and software system(s).
  • Ability to learn internal database(s) and software system(s).
  • Must be able to motivate and lead other people in the organization without direct reporting responsibilities.
  • Requires a combination of high energy, empathy, and emotional intelligence to motivate and persuade stakeholders.
  • Self-structure and a high degree of organizational skills are required to manage multiple products and market segments in a broad geographical area.
  • Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced and multifaceted environment.
