Job Description
We're seeking a passionate and experienced Consumer Protection Compliance Program Manager to join our team and champion our consumer protection initiatives. As part of the Cash App Compliance team, you'll report to the Consumer Protection Compliance Program Lead, playing a pivotal role in ensuring our adherence to laws, regulations, and industry standards related to consumer protection.

Job Description
We're seeking a passionate and experienced Consumer Protection Compliance Program Manager to join our team and champion our consumer protection initiatives. As part of the Cash App Compliance team, you'll report to the Consumer Protection Compliance Program Lead, playing a pivotal role in ensuring our adherence to laws, regulations, and industry standards related to consumer protection.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the credit dispute oversight process for our Cash App Lending products, including dispute SLA reporting, analysis of dispute complaints, and driving remediation efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to assess consumer financial protection issues across Cash App Borrow and Afterpay.
- Act as a compliance representative in meetings with legal, business, operations, and technology teams.
- Provide guidance on compliance policies, procedures, and training initiatives.
- Oversee the resolution of identified issues through our issues management program.
- Support the development and execution of action plans resulting from examinations, audits, or internal testing.
- Work closely with business and compliance colleagues to identify potential issues, trends, and emerging risks.
- 5 years of experience in a compliance role within the financial services industry, preferably with a focus on payments and lending compliance.
- Deep understanding of consumer protection rules and regulations, including those enforced by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and other regulatory agencies.
- Strong familiarity with laws and regulatory requirements pertaining to Cash App's Lending products, such as UDAAP, Truth in Lending Act (TILA), and Regulation Z.
- Proficiency in managing controls and processes related to handling consumer issues, including disputes, complaints, and fraud prevention.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and succinctly.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality, data-driven work products in a fast-paced, agile environment.
