Description:

The Compliance Analyst supports the implementation, execution and management of the Braskem Compliance Program in the United States. The Compliance Analyst helps develop and deliver training and communications, tracks and reports performance, executes compliance operations and performs analysis on entities Braskem engages with, all in order to provide actionable information to the Braskem America Compliance Officer and US Leaders. Additionally, the Compliance Analyst completes Third Party Monitoring and Due Diligence efforts for regular business engagement and for Sponsorship and Donations recipients and responds to inquiries from Team Members. This position will also support, the maintenance of the US Compliance Operational procedure and the integration of new processes and systems into the US Compliance program to streamline, automate, and optimize data sharing, progress monitoring, and KPI reporting with Leadership and key internal stakeholders as well as support US effort to comply with Data Privacy Policy

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide input and context for the communications of Compliance goals, objectives and plans
  • Analyze input, develop recommendations and propose solutions to US Compliance Officer and Braskem US leaders regarding policies, directives, procedures and the business controls associated with these requirements.
  • Work with business process owners and teams to develop and implement appropriate controls and tracking measures to manage risk within Braskem US compliance processes. Track and report on business monitoring of risk controls within these processes, evaluate and develop actionable information, recommend improvements and initiate corrective measures and activities, as needed.
  • Ability to operate data analytics tools and offer a critical analysis.
  • Knowledge of Privacy and Data Protection Regulations
  • Provide content for Compliance training (and communications) initiatives and deliver this training in various forms, as needed. Knowledgeably respond to inquiries involving Braskem compliance policies, procedures, values and best practices.
  • Support efforts by Internal Controls department to implement, track and report internal controls performance within Braskem US entities including direct participation in business process walkthroughs.
  • Further develop, improve and implement methods and tools for tracking and reporting on Compliance operations including the maintenance of the US Compliance Operational procedure.
  • This position includes international and local travels.


Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in the compliance field or related area subject to regulation (i.e. internal audit, finance, procurement, supply chain, etc.), 5-10 years total work experience.
  • Excellent English language writing skills are necessary. The ability to speak a second language (Spanish or Portugues) is desirable
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering or related
  • Continuous improvement mindset and ability to learn and support the development of new tools, processes, and systems
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, notably PowerPoint, PowerBI, PowerAutomate (for dashboard and process automation), and Sharepoint.
  • Knowledge in Workplace by Meta is desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-functional communication skills with regional and global teams
  • Ability to extract, organize, analyze and articulate information to support business cases and to make value-adding, risk-mitigating business decisions.
