Chief Human Resources Officer

Job Description

An independent and family-owned national financial services company is seeking a Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). The CHRO is responsible for driving key people initiatives and programs in alignment with the organization’s growth goals and objectives. As a member of the senior executive leadership team, this influential leader will serve as an advisor on all aspects of talent management, operational human resources, organizational development and leadership development capabilities. The CHRO will provide the vision and strategy for building a best-in-class talent enterprise. This executive will develop and lead a highly driven team of professionals who have a shared focus on enterprise strategic goals. The role encompasses oversight of human resources, organizational learning, employee development and internal communication strategies. This is a retained search.

Responsibilities

  • Lead human resource functions by upholding a high-performing, service-focused and team-oriented department culture through challenging work assignments, projects and priorities directed by strategic objectives and growth goals.
  • Collaborate with the chief executive officer and executive leadership team on strategic issues that affect the organization.
  • Anticipate change management needs, implement plans and strategies, and set the tone for employee communications to maximize employee adoption, enhance change proficiency and minimize resistance among staff.
  • Oversee and participate in the continuous development and implementation of business plans to obtain corporate goals, including strategic plans and the budget.
  • Partner with other members of the senior leadership team to drive and support organizational transformation.
  • Build a team to handle talent acquisition, leadership development, risk mitigation, employee relations and employment law compliance enterprise wide as the company scales.

Requirements

  • 10 years of leadership experience within human resources gained through positions of increasing responsibility, including strategy, organizational development, succession planning and employee engagement
  • Proficient in developing, implementing and supporting growth and change management initiatives
  • Experience leading and executing strategic plans and budgets to obtain corporate goals
  • Regulatory industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP designation (preferred)
