Assistant Controller

As the Assistant Controller, you will assume a critical role in our financial operations. Your responsibilities will entail overseeing various accounting tasks, including financial analysis, accounts payable and receivable management, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close processes. Your meticulous attention to detail, adept analytical skills, and capacity to work independently will be instrumental in supporting our financial operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Reviewing accounts payable and receivable transactions for accuracy and timeliness
  • Scrutinizing bank statements and other financial records
  • Managing the general ledger by posting journal entries and performing monthly closings
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis efforts
  • Conducting financial analysis and providing recommendations for cost reduction and process improvement
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business operations and resolve financial-related inquiries
  • Staying updated on relevant accounting standards, regulations, and best practices
  • Assisting with audits and other compliance-related activities
  • Participating in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 7 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a corporate environment
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is advantageous
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information
