As the Assistant Controller, you will assume a critical role in our financial operations. Your responsibilities will entail overseeing various accounting tasks, including financial analysis, accounts payable and receivable management, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close processes. Your meticulous attention to detail, adept analytical skills, and capacity to work independently will be instrumental in supporting our financial operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
Reviewing the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Reviewing accounts payable and receivable transactions for accuracy and timeliness
Scrutinizing bank statements and other financial records
Managing the general ledger by posting journal entries and performing monthly closings
Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis efforts
Conducting financial analysis and providing recommendations for cost reduction and process improvement
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business operations and resolve financial-related inquiries
Staying updated on relevant accounting standards, regulations, and best practices
Assisting with audits and other compliance-related activities
Participating in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
7 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a corporate environment
Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting
Proficiency in using accounting software and the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is advantageous
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information
