Job Description
The succesful candidate will be responsible for:
Designing and modeling suite components of products to meet program requirements, while ensuring designs meet cost and weight targets.
Participating in design reviews during each phase of the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
Selection and application of appropriate materials and processes for each element.
Ensuring successful integration of each design element within the product, participating in its validation (using methods such as prototyping, testing, and DFMEA).
Delivering design solutions within agreed schedules and budgets.
Communicating effectively with customers, suppliers, and OEMs throughout the design process.
Following and contributing to the development of Best Practice guidelines.
Checking engineering packages of work from other designers and offshore teams.
Preparing drawings and models for approval.
Qualifications
Previous experience and knowledge of Aircraft / Automotive seat design and surfaces is required
Solid design engineering track record
Proficient with 3D CAD / CATIA / Smarteam
Good knowledge of manufacturing methods and design for manufacturing and assembly
