Job Overview

Our client is seeking to appoint a Business Lecturer with Higher Education (HE) experience to deliver interactive lessons and provide academic support to students. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging learners to ensure successful course completion and supporting their progression. The role involves planning, delivering, and assessing student work, sustaining change management, and liaising with the Programme Manager, Deputy Academic Manager, and Academic Officers.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and assess student work, ensuring that all learning outcomes are met.
  • Actively participate in staff development activities and peer observations.
  • Develop, update, and improve course materials as appropriate.
  • Strengthen student performance and support growth in undergraduate offers.
  • Contribute to staff development and maintenance of workplace culture and good practices.
  • Supervise student work, provide support and feedback, and ensure student engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in business management or a related subject.
  • Teaching qualification or adequate teaching experience, with an understanding of lesson planning and scaffolded teaching.
  • Minimum one-year UK teaching experience.
  • Experience in HE Business courses.
  • Enthusiasm for delivering a high-quality education experience.
  • Experience supervising student work, providing support and feedback, and ensuring student engagement.

Benefits:

  • Salary range of £26,000-£30,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • Basic working hours are 9am to 6pm on site.
  • 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Up to £5k annual incentives pro-rata, given quarterly on meeting KPIs upon successful probation period.
  • 3% annual salary increase per year from your start date of service upon meeting KPIs.
