Primary Functions:
Responsible for the development and maintenance of statistical and ML models and tools
Collaborates with COE team and business owners to take a data-driven approach in identifying key customer pain-points, uncover insights, and develop techniques to address these issues.
Deliver actionable insights to stakeholders informed by robust statistical analysis and predictive modeling.
Perform ad-hoc analysis and report results to leadership team.
Standup analytics for Delta’s new personalization experiences and deliver cadenced reporting for current experiences.
Build, calibrate and enhance existing models, and monitor model performance.
Leverage emerging technologies and identify efficient and meaningful ways to deliver meaningful insights to the business.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS):
Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, mathematics, or related field 5-7 years of relevant work experience required.
Master's degree and 4 years proven experience in data science or machine learning.
Ability to translate business problem to a prediction or optimization problem.
Strong knowledge of regression methods, supervised and unsupervised learning techniques.
Working knowledge of forecasting and causal inference methods
Strong foundations with optimal data querying/modeling with SQL (CTE, Window functions etc.)
Experience with at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, R or SAS) and deep knowledge of analytical packages and libraries
Nice to have experience in linear programming and non-linear optimization methods.
Must possess strong business acumen, analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
Candidate should be known for integrity, intelligence, and professional maturity.
Ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment in a creative and innovative fashion.

WHAT WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS):
Experience in instrumenting ML solutions in AWS (e.g., Sagemaker)
Experience building uplift modeling.
Prior experience with Delta or other airline or Hospitality data a plus
Experience collaborating with a global team.
Intensely curious about finding a solution to the pain-points of our customers along the entire travel experience.
