Smartbridge (www.smartbridge.com) is a US based IT and consulting Company with its offshore operations Centre in Hyderabad since 2003.
We are looking to recruit 14 NOC engineers, also known as Network Operations Center Engineers to work in our new office in Visakhapatnam starting July 2024.
The NOC Engineers monitor and control large computer networks of our client from a central location. These skilled IT professionals are responsible for network troubleshooting, various equipment, communication equipment in various units remotely and alarm response.
In this role, the candidate will be responsible for monitoring the performance and capacity of client computer systems, unit equipment’s, troubleshooting problems, and responding to network issues etc. You may also be required to configure system hardware and manage system back-ups remotely if required.
To ensure success as an NOC engineer, the candidate should demonstrate advanced knowledge of network deployment and infrastructure, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work flexible hours 24 x 7 in shifts. A skilled NOC Engineer will be able to diagnose and resolve various network and equipment issues without causing extended downtime of the systems.
Role Description
This is a full-time Network Operations Center Engineer role at SMARTBridge Solutions Pvt. Ltd in the Greater Visakhapatnam Area, with flexibility for some remote work. The Network Operations Center Engineer will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining network systems, identifying and troubleshooting network issues, implementing network upgrades and configurations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal network performance and security.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Proven experience in network operations, network monitoring, and troubleshooting
Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching
Experience with network security technologies and best practices
Proficiency in network management tools and software
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong communication and documentation skills
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are a plus
Experience with cloud networking technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus
