The Impact You’ll Make

Recursion Is At The Forefront Of Reimagining Drug Discovery Through The Integration Of Automated Cell Biology, High-dimensional And Diverse Data Sets, And Sophisticated Analytics. We Are Seeking a Staff Product Manager To Join The Team Building The Recursion OS. As a Product Manager, You Will Help Define And Guide The Strategy For The Development Of The World’s Leading Tech-enabled Drug Discovery Platform. In Particular, You Will Be The Product Manager On Our Industrialized Workflow Team Defining How We Scale And Automate Drug Discovery Activities. You Will

  • Partner to guide the vision and strategy of our industrialized workflows, especially our chemistry capabilities.
  • In partnership with medicinal and computational chemists, develop novel tools and capabilities to industrialize the way we do drug discovery
  • Coordinate delivery across a cross-disciplinary team of data scientists, medicinal chemists, biologists, and engineers
  • As a core member of the product team, contribute to growing a product mindset within the organization and nurturing the craft within the product team.

This position is based at either our Canadian headquarters in Toronto or our US headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Team You’ll Join

Reporting to the Director of Product Management, you’ll be joining a vibrant interdisciplinary team building the products that underpin all early drug discovery at Recursion. The team incorporates data across phenomics, transcriptomics, chemistry and patient insights and more into massive, automated product workflows. To do so, we use modern data science methods from computer vision to large language models, alongside advanced engineering orchestration and processing approaches. Our high performing team works closely together to continuously improve and reimagine how early drug discovery is done, as part of creating the world’s first end-to-end industrialized drug discovery pipeline!

The Experience You’ll Need

  • 5 years of experience with product management, including strategy, planning, prioritizing, building, implementation, and gathering feedback
  • A degree in chemistry or equivalent work experience that will enable you to partner closely with scientific stakeholders
  • Demonstrated success in delivering novel and complex solutions, bonus if in a scientific context
  • A track record of systems thinking and the ability to connect back to the big picture
  • Understanding of how to translate between experts in engineering, biology, chemistry and data science to identify business needs and find solutions
  • A Lifelong learner with a creative, collaborative and flexible approach.

Required

At Recursion, we believe that every employee should be compensated fairly. Based on the skill and level of experience required for this role, the estimated current annual base range for this role is:

  • Developing: $216,000 CAD
  • Skilled: $240,000 CAD
  • Expert: $264,000 CAD
