Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer & VP of Strategy and Finance, the FP&A Senior Associate will be responsible for a diverse array of financial analysis, reporting and real estate and investment decision-making. This individual will interface cross-functionally through finance, accounting, real estate and the operational functions of New Tradition. The FP&A Senior Associate will continue to develop and strengthen a culture of financial rigor, discipline and control throughout the Company’s operations. This role will be located in New York City with expectation of in-office Monday to Thursday and remote on Friday.


Key Responsibilities


  • Operating and Investor Models: maintain long range model to forecast financial performance and drive strategic decision making.
  • Reforecasting: lead monthly/quarterly forecast process through analysis of current market and performance trends and collaboration with operators.
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting: support month-end close processes & review along with creation and presentation of results to business leaders, investors and board members. Drive credit reporting processes and participate in engagement with lenders on a regular basis.
  • 13 Week Cash Flow Forecasting: drive regular cash flow forecasting and reconciliation exercise to guide treasury, reporting and investor conversations.
  • Investment Analysis & Diligence: Develop real estate, operating asset and portfolio models as necessary to support investment and growth evaluation. Drive diligence activities for new asset acquisitions and contribute analysis and viewpoints on M&A and organic growth opportunities.
  • Investment Funnel Management: manage investment pipelines, prioritization and regular meetings in-concert with functional leads and executives.
  • Collaboration with Operators: drive data/process improvement, strategic alignment and regular evaluation of data alongside operating functions.
  • Excel, Powerpoint and Modelling Skills: high proficiency with excel to create analysis with clear & concise outputs and supporting recommendations to business leads to drive execution and decision-making.
  • Strategic Perspective: contribute strategic perspective to finance and investment activities to continuously drive optimization and improvement in support of business objectives.


Experience Desired and Keys to Success:


  • The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, effective communicator with proven experience contributing to and driving team functions in a financial analysis and/or transaction services role. This is to include strong analytical capabilities, understanding of data-driven business optimization and enjoyment of a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment in which the individual will be trusted and supported to drive strategic decision making in a high-growth environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to create relationships across functions, deepen understanding of the business/market and collaborate to output concise, actionable recommendations to varying business stakeholders.
  • Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience in a fast-paced environment with strong ability to execute and optimize with directional guidance and manage multiple priorities & timelines seamlessly.
  • Ability to think independently with commitment and enthusiasm for data-driven decision making and attention to detail will be critical to success.


Education and Qualifications:


  • 3-5 Years experience in an FP&A, investment banking and/or transaction services oriented role
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or similar
  • Experience with private equity and/or other institutional capital & financial sponsors a plus
  • Media, advertising or real estate experience a plus
  • CFA, CPA or similar certifications a plus
