QA Lab Technician

We are hiring a Lab Technician to join our quality & food safety team. The lab technician is responsible for cheese testing, environmental and pre-op inspections, results tracking and reporting and support of food safety and QA programs

• Bachelor’s Degree in a science related field or equivalent experience
• 5 years of experience of lab and quality experience, including experience within the food industry
• HACCP, PCQI Trained & SQF Practitioner Certified
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence change
• Reliable and dependable with demonstrated good attendance
• Able to work effectively and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with all levels of the organization
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently
• Excellent follow up and follow through, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Willing to pitch in and help when and where needed
  
  

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

Work environment is primary based in the office, but will involve work in laboratory and food production areas. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat and twist. Hair/beard nets and gloves must be worn in required areas due to GMP requirements.
