Description
The Capital Projects team is expanding, and we are actively seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Project Engineer to support our project manager in executing capital projects.
Work Environment
Position is primarily office based in MD.
Office and fieldwork required.
Required to work indoors in an office setting for extended periods of time.
Must be able to work in various weather conditions, including cold temperatures, snow, rain, and heat.
Occasional lifting, carrying, and/or moving items up to 35 pounds at times. Required safety PPE when working around high voltage electrical equipment. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
As a Project Engineer, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Feasibility Studies And Cost Assessments
You will assist in preliminary project feasibility studies and evaluate project costs.
Bid Package Development
You’ll be involved in developing bid packages and participating in bid evaluation exercises.
Detailed Engineering Scope
You may lead or support the detailed engineering scope of projects.
Regulatory Submittals
When necessary, you’ll prepare and submit documents to regulators such as FERC, PHMSA, and the USCG.
Project Scheduling
You’ll be responsible for generating and maintaining project schedules.
Reporting And Updates
Prepare cost reports and provide project updates for executive review.
Technical And Administrative Management
Manage both the technical and administrative aspects of projects.
Collaboration And Coordination
Work closely with client Construction Coordinators to ensure effective communication between the project team and Operations.
Quality Assurance
Oversee client Quality Coordinators to maintain high standards of workmanship in the field.
Additionally, you’ll play a crucial role in standardizing our capital project processes and procedures.
