Responsibilities
Uses a variety of material handling equipment (MHE) such as forklifts, order pickers, turret trucks and handcarts to move raw materials and finished goods throughout the warehouse.
Efficiently and accurately pick production orders from the warehouse according to the parameters specified in work order packets (i.e., warehouse locations, quantities, etc.).
Has the experience/ability to expedite shipments to customers.
Follow all instructions as they relate to pallet type, product segregation, special label requirements, and other condition as they are presented.
Execute/record transactions via RF/barcode scanner (WMS: Oracle EBS).
Monitors product quality frequently, reporting problems to mitigate safety and quality issues.
Conduct cycle and inventory counts when required and assist other team members in variance analysis and reconciliation efforts.
Utilizes continuous improvement mindset and assists in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
At least one (1) year of general work experience in a warehouse.
At least one (1) year of experience operating lift equipment, including an order picker and narrow aisle reach truck.
At least one (1) year experience as a Shipping Associate.
Must be able to work M-F, 9:30 am to 6:00 pm schedule.
Must be self-managed and able to perform duties with minimal supervision.
Must be a self-managed collaborator comfortable working in a demanding environment.
Must be willing to cross-train in other work centers if/as needed (i.e., Receiving and Inventory).
Effective communication (verbal and written) skills.
Able to safely work for extended periods of time, mostly standing, well beyond an 8-hour workday, lift materials up to forty-five pounds.
Works overtime, holidays, and weekends as required.
Adhere to health and safety policies and quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
At least one (1) or more years’ experience utilizing Oracle EBS or other warehouse management systems in a fulfillment, distribution and/or manufacturing environment.
Shipping Coordinator experience.
Qualified forklift, order picker, and/or turret truck experience.
Functional experience with RF/barcode scanners in high volume, warehousing environments.
Complete all required documentation in an accurate and legible manner.
Diligence and order accuracy.
