Role: Equipment Maintenance Technician II

Location: 7 Loveton Circle, Sparks, MD, USA, 21152-0999

Duration: 12 Months

Job Description

  • Reports to Engineering Manager or Production Supervisor.
  • Handles setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Manages production quality, downtime, and waste.
  • Conducts mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance, including preventative tasks.
  • Performs routine and complex maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
  • Adjusts machine settings as needed.
  • Plans and prioritizes maintenance tasks.
  • Oversees preventive maintenance and completes work orders.
  • Installs and removes equipment, and performs corrective maintenance.
  • Monitors production lines for equipment performance.
  • Assists in root-cause analysis for process or product issues.
  • Checks work with precision tools.
  • Ensures all quality, safety, and maintenance documents are accurate.
  • Works on improvement projects and resolves complex machine or product quality issues.
  • Advises on maintenance task content and frequency.
  • Assists with equipment installation and startup.
  • Follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Adheres to housekeeping, safety policies, and overtime requirements.

Skills

  • Proficient in mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical repair.
  • Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and diagrams.
  • Flexible and adaptable with various equipment and projects.
  • Knowledge of mathematics, calibration, and precision measuring.
  • Proficient in using a PC, mechanical and electrical tools, and understanding sensor technology.
  • Experience in PLC operations, robotics, and AutoCad/Solidworks is preferred.

Education And Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED plus a Certificate and 2 years of experience, or 4 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Relevant fields include Electrical/Electronics, Electromechanical, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Programming, Electrician, Machine Building/Repairing, Machinist, etc.
