A local company is looking for an Office Assistant this person will work under the direction of the Office Manager, the Office Assistant is responsible for accepting and processing all Referrals, including verifying information for accuracy and inputting it into databases.
The Office Assistant ensures timely filing of Referral documents into the child’s EMR to ensure program compliance. The Office Assistant also serves as the Receptionist and backup to the Medical Records Specialist and Office Manager.
The Office Assistant assists with filing, scanning, and data entry. The Office Assistant is responsible to the Office Manager but must work in coordination with the Program Director.
Regular attendance and punctuality are requirements.
Qualifications:
Education, Training, and Experience
High school graduate (or equivalent), with clerical and computer experience required. Must pass all center-mandated training. Billing and collection experience desirable.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Verbal communication skills, to understand and be understood.Ability to read correspondence, forms, and reports.Written skills with accurate spelling and grammar.Ability to listen and process instructions.Act in a professional manner at all times.Ability to use a telephone and paging system.Ability to use a computer, printer, copier, fax, and scanner.Be willing and able to maintain strict confidentiality. Must be able to multitask.Must have good visual acuity, depth perception, and an adequate field of visionMust be detail-orientated and accurate.Must have good fine motor skills.Must exhibit patience with co-workers, visitors, and the public.Must be able to sit for long periods.
