About the job:

Kent is looking for an Engineering Project Analyst to be based in La Porte, TX.

You will provide administrative assistance and data analytics support for our client’s capital projects and regional discipline engineering organizations. You will interact with discipline engineers, project managers, designers, documentation specialists, vendors/suppliers and other personnel as needed to successfully analyze and present data for performance metrics as well as cover administrative duties for the department to ensure efficient operation of the office environment.

Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data
  • Set-up/manage dashboard
  • Facilitation of the funding request documentation workflow
  • Support employees with office related matters (answering questions, reacting to requests and suggestions, redirecting to the right person)
  • Manage and coordinate meetings
  • Welcome and assist visitors
  • Coordination of office activities
  • Order/manage supplies
  • Facilitation of office moves
  • Manage expense reports
  • Manage of camera permits
  • Other job duties as required

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Business related field preferred.
  • Ability to apply computer software tools (SAP, Microsoft Office, P6 Primavera).

The individual must have or develop basic proficiency in the following areas with the ability to develop into a subject matter expert in particular areas:

  • Microsoft Power BI software application.
  • Demonstrated ability for organizing and tracking a high volume of detailed information that impacts own work.

Communication:

  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills necessary to facilitate effective reporting of metrics.
