Job Description

Please note: This role will be based in San Mateo, CA or Bellevue, WA and requires an in-office presence 3x per week.

Freshworks is seeking an experienced Director - Corporate Communications with a proven track record in strategic communications, media relations, and executive thought leadership as methods to increase company awareness as we climb past $1 billion in revenue.

You will own the strategy and execution of external communications programs that showcase the company’s vision, corporate strategy, and financial growth through the voices of our C-suite. This newly created role will partner closely with the Freshworks executive leadership team to develop forward-thinking narratives that win the hearts and minds of press, investors, customers and employees. You are highly collaborative and thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a keen ability to drive communications strategies from planning through execution and delivery of results.

This role will report directly to the VP of Corporate Communications and work alongside a team of PR, executive and employee communications professionals as you build an all-encompassing communications strategy centered around our key differentiators in the market with CEO Dennis Woodside as your key spokesperson.

What You'll Do:

  • Increase company awareness through a strategic communications program, crafting messaging and top notch content that tells a meaningful story about our business and customers that fuel it.
  • Drive engaged traffic to our website by turning corporate activities including earnings, investor day, and company events into stories that stick with press, investors, customers and employees.
  • Expand reach to our target buying audience by executing a cohesive thought leadership strategy for the entire Freshworks C-suite that applies our corporate narrative to tech’s biggest trends and our customer’s most acute opportunities.
  • Create demand for our CEO among press, customers, investors and influencers by amplifying his unique perspectives on social media, in the news, and through speaking opportunities. Long term, these influencers come to us!

Qualifications

  • A proven track record of 13 years formulating messaging and writing exceptional content for C-level executives that differentiates companies in a crowded enterprise software market.
  • An adaptable and proactive mindset that lands top-tier business press and keynotes through an ability to near-instantly understand and reformulate the value of enterprise software in a gripping way that inspires prospects to buy.
  • A leader of PR and corporate communications teams that deliver results under high pressure, often ambiguous circumstances, and thrives with minimal direction while being able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A clear understanding of the B2B go-to-market motion and quarterly earnings process that consistently achieves shared goals between Comms, IR and Legal.

Additional Information

California Pay Range: $191,200—$310,700 comprising an annual salary and incentive compensation.

Compensation is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to location, experience, job-related skills, and level. Bonus/equity may be available.
