Who You Are

You're an excellent writer, passionate about the relationship between copy, content strategy and overall marketing strategy. You have growing experience in delivering written content across platforms that speaks to a variety of audiences in a brand-consistent tone. You’re able to independently tackle long-form blog posts and short-form punchy messaging that motivates readers and encourages desired actions. You have the ability to understand and empathize with target audiences so you can develop content that adds value to a professional audience. You have a strong sense of ownership and an entrepreneurial spirit, excited to grow and build within a rapidly growing technology company and you are comfortable with ambiguity. You’re a strong team player eager to execute and contribute your ideas to broader company strategy. You will be a key contributor to Communications and Marketing Strategy and an integral player on the Communications and Marketing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for developing written content for our owned channel including our website, blog, email marketing, content, and social channels. You will develop content on these – and other channels – to grow brand awareness among potential clients (school districts, government agencies, nonprofits) to drive traffic, and boost engagement.
  • You will own the development of short-form content, including advertising and website copy and assisting with social media captions.
  • You will collaborate with our Senior Content Marketing Manager on content strategy, in order to produce blog posts aligned with SEO strategy, and thought leadership emails that deepen engagement with our prospects and clients.
  • Pitch & execute new ideas for content development, including video and editorial content, collaborating cross-functionally to meet B2B customers where they are.
  • Assess and prioritize inbound requests and deadlines from across the organization, to deliver tailored content that is timely and effective.
  • Ensure messaging consistency across channels, while optimizing messages within each channel.
  • Collaborate with other Communications and Marketing functions, including Demand Gen, Communications/PR, and Product Marketing for comprehensive and cohesive marketing and communications strategy.

Skills And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years of marketing experience with proven expertise in developing short- and long-form content
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong prioritization skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and high capacity for change.
  • Highly self-motivated, with attention to detail
  • Current pulse on digital platforms, tools, and trends in content, marketing, and advertising

Nice To Have Experience

  • Familiarity with HubSpot, Google Analytics, Iterable, Salesforce, and Tableau
  • Marketplace company experience

HopSkipDrive is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Los Angeles, CA is $95,000 - $105,000. This position is remote and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by several factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skill set, certifications, and specific work location. The total compensation package for this role also includes equity stock options.
