Development Team Manager

Location: Maidenhead (Hybrid/Remote)

Package: £70,000 - £80,000 Benefits


Our client is looking for a Development Team Manager to join their small UK team and collaborate with their Software Factory in Europe. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing company products, solutions, and delivering customer-focused projects.


Our client is a pan-European business, and the role involves working within the UK development team as well as being part of a larger team of global developers. The focus is on delivering innovative Supply Chain solutions using a range of data collection technologies and integrating these with customers’ ERP systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Full Stack Development (Back Office) Developers and Hand Held Terminal (MCL) developers.
  • Review current processes and work with the Head of Professional Service UK to introduce new standards across teams.
  • Assist in scheduling resources, reviewing outputs, ensuring deadlines are met, estimating development effort required, and developing as needed.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as well as customers.


Required Skills:

  • Full Stack Developer
  • Angular
  • .Net 4 and above
  • Azure development: DevOps, Angular*, Kendo UI, CSS, jQuery
  • C#
  • Web API (REST)
  • MVC
  • Hibernate (or other ORM framework exposure)
  • SQL Server T-SQL
  • Git

Personal Specification:

  • 5 years’ experience in software development. This role suits someone looking for involvement in all aspects of the software development process.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work within a team or independently.
  • Experience managing other developers and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to build processes and maintain compliance from team members.
  • Produce accurate estimates of development effort required.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Based in the vicinity of Maidenhead or within a 1-hour travel range.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally in both the UK and EU.
  • ITIL and/or other relevant qualifications (e.g. Agile).
  • Experience in product development.
