Chief Financial Officer

This is a great opportunity to join an established investor-backed FS/Insurance SME who are looking to bring on an exceptional CFO who will partner directly with the CEO to drive the company’s strategy.

This is an exciting opportunity where you will oversee the day-to-day financial management of the business, further develop the finance function, systems, and processes, and direct the accounting operations. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will interact with all levels of the organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and refine internal financial control policies, systems, and processes to support company growth
• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring precise and timely reporting
• Collaborate with department heads and senior management to devise and monitor financial plans, budgets, and cost-control measures
• Lead budget and forecast processing, maintaining financial models and standard templates for planning processes
• Enhance reporting and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to provide valuable insights to external stakeholders and senior management
• Provide coaching and development opportunities for the finance team

Requirements

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
• Hands-on experience ideally in a growth business
• Local to the East Midlands
• Recent experience in Insurance, Underwriting or Brokers (this is a non-negotiable)
