Job Description
The Store Planning Director will manage Audemars Piguet’s Retail projects execution from HQ completed design through Boutique opening for the whole Americas’ Region (North America & Latin America).
This role will also oversee the maintenance of all retail locations and manage the renovation projects. Finally, the function is also in charge of local Office build-out and renovation.
Reporting locally to the VP Operations and to the Group Head of Store Design & Planning, this individual will oversee the construction and completion of each location to ensure standards of quality are met in a timely and cost-effective manner while keeping AP Standards.
This role is highly focused on construction project management & finding solutions. He is a highly creative and collaborative leader who drives innovation to his work.
Responsibilities
Work closely with Group Store Planning Retail Department in the design development of Store locations including renovation, expansions & closings
Responsible of maintenance and renovation for all current opened stores
Applies a broad understanding of the concept design development process and manages initial concepts through completion. Actively proposes new ideas, materials, details, and fixtures to support the growth of the Brand
Applies a broad understanding of millwork details, fixtures, hardware, and materials and their impact on merchandising and customer use
Coordinate with all internal cross-functional partners (Operations, Security, IT, etc.) to validate all project timelines are aligned, and team requirements and standards are incorporated into the project plan
Ensure the store execution aligns with the brand’s standards and requirements
Responsible of the bidding process and contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables with project managers and architects.
Assist Legal department to review Lease’s specific clauses and obtain approvals from landlord for preliminary and working drawing reviews. Ensure submission & obtention of all permits according to local authorities and project schedule.
Delivers work within schedule and budget; identifies and proposes solutions to resolve issues that can impact project schedule, cost, or design integrity
Overall cost management, including the development of detailed cost estimates for approved retail locations, accurate budget tracking for active projects, and timely closeout for completed projects
Prepare monthly reports to keep track of the status of various projects and condition of boutiques
Investigate technical problems, present the technological capabilities, and manage change requests
Monitor & benchmark competitors retail networks and share feedback from the field with local Management
Travel as required to conduct site visits during the lifecycle of the project
Qualifications
B.A or Masters in Architecture
7-10 years of experience in retail store planning and design working in high luxury Fashion, Jewelry & Hospitality or equivalent
In house experience in retail brands
Proficient in architecture software (Autocad) and MS Project
Ability to review full construction sets and revise drawings as needed
Experience working with international vendors
Ability to find technical solutions with respect of tight deadlines
Displays strong written, verbal communication skills along with being detail oriented
Strong planning and management skills with excellent problem solving skills
Ability to travel domestically & internationally
Additional Information
Audemars Piguet offers a competitive and comprehensive compensation and benefits package. The base salary for this role is between $190,000 - $215,000 dependent upon experience.
