This Senior QA Test Engineer opportunity is working with exciting technology on Gravitate’s team and learning directly from the best architects in the industry who are passionate about creating great products that solve business needs. We are looking for a quality engineer who is curious, has a knack for breaking code, gets excited about solving hard problems, and wants to be a part of an organization where they can strategize best-of-class solutions.

Job Summary

The Senior QA Test Engineer works closely with the product manager to understand the features and build test cases based on the acceptance criteria and works with the Development Team as they build out functionality. This entails conducting requirement analysis, defining test strategies & designs, and leading executions.

• You are passionate about championing quality throughout feature development and testing process
• You enjoy creating test plans, document test design specifications and test cases
• You can add manual test for existing features in collaboration with other QAs
• You are comfortable actively participating in product refinement sessions, acting as the voice of the user and calling out edge cases
• You have experience updating stale manual tests & automated test scripts
• You have experience filing test failures due to bugs in code
• You have experience performing regression testing
• You enjoy creating test strategy and implement test automation for new and existing features
• You have experience developing scalable and robust test automation scripts
• You have experience designing and developing integration test scripts
• You are passionate about identifying and communicating must-have test coverage for critical functionality.
• You have experience refining tests at all levels to ensure efficient coverage and effective deduplication.
• You are the type of person who takes initiative to recommend new approaches and processes that will improve our quality, productivity, and velocity.

Minimum Qualifications

• API test experience, specifically using Postman or a similar tool
• Experience with Zephyr Scale or other test case management software
• Strong background in planning, creating and executing manual & automated test cases
• Ability to execute test cases using methodologies such as ATDD (Acceptance Test Driven Development) or BDD (Behavior Driven Development)
• Ability to follow and proactively improve QA standards, templates and documentations
• Mobile App testing (manual & automated)
• Strong background within an Agile environment

Preferred Qualifications

• 4 years of experience within quality assurance and automated testing
• BS in Computer Science or similar technical field of study
• Demonstrated knowledge of Gravitate test tools: TestBed, Cypress, Selenium, PyTest, Postman, Appium
