We ask that our remote employees have access to a reliable internet connection and a dedicated, properly equipped workspace that is free of distractions. Employees must reside in, and work from, one of the above approved states.

The opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Director of University Partnerships, the Regional Account Manager will work in the Mid-Atlantic region, and support additional regions throughout the US to grow community college and military enrollments according to the established yearly targets for SNHU Global Campus.

The Regional Account Manager provides general oversight to all community college and military-related activities, initiates strategies for growing the transfer articulation and military programs and undertakes targeted research and development. You will manage all current relationships with community colleges, and organizations serving community college transfer students, military branches, veteran service organizations, and military partners. Additionally, you may seek out opportunities to establish new partnerships to assist SNHU in becoming a top choice for community college and military students.

We ask that you travel (50-75%) which can include overnight travel (the amount of which is dependent on assigned region). Some weekend work/travel is required. We are asking that you live within a drivable distance to a major airport to ease in travel. Must live in the DMV area (D.C. Maryland, Virginia) or North Carolina.

You Will

  • Consult with your college and military partners to deepen your understanding of their needs, decision-making and structure to uncover meaningful strategies that unlock greater results.
  • Ensure SNHU has adequate representation on all identified military installations and at community college events.
  • Promote SNHU Global Campus educational and partnership programs to community colleges, military educators, service members, veterans, and their family members.
  • Be the primary daily contact for partner and build a network of champions across your partners by growing your role as a trusted advisor, anticipating needs and challenges while acting quickly to address them.
  • Establish a regular and organized schedule of engagement with partners to understand their needs and shape demand for SNHU products and pathways.
  • Travel to community colleges, military bases and other military affiliated locations and events to recruit community college transfer students, military personnel, their spouses, and children for SNHU Global Campus educational programs.
  • Develop marketing engagement plans that use internal partner and SNHU channels to ensure well-performed communication of SNHU offering to the partner's learners.
  • Build strategic territory outreach plans to recruit military affiliated populations including, service members (active, guard and reserve), veterans, and the family members of service members and veterans.
  • Develop deep partnerships and pipeline to increase SNHU's reach and educational impact within organizations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key influencers including community college leadership, faculty, advisors, military affiliated students, senior leaders, base education staff, partner veteran service organizations, military spouse organizations and state military leaders.
  • Help identify creative ways to promote engagement of partner learners.
  • Forecast and achieve shared growth targets. Conduct ongoing and annual analysis of partnership by gathering and analyzing data, metrics, analytics, and other relevant partner information to inform current future opportunities.
  • Coordinate preliminary transfer credit evaluations for either the undergraduate or graduate program. Ensure that the students' goals and the University's mission are compatible.
  • Engage with members of the UP-Partnership team and other partnership units to explore ideas, use best practices, and contribute to a Community of Practice around partnerships.


What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree required in related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • 5 years of experience in Higher Education strategic account management and as a military outreach representative with a record of solution selling and relationship management across military and community colleges channels.
  • Experience producing measurable results for Partners, delivering Higher Ed solutions.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Proficiency with managing all aspects of CRM related accountabilities.
