Maintenance Tech

Job Description

Chamberlin’s Natural Foods is currently hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our Central Florida Team! The maintenance technician will perform maintenance and general repair services in approximately 7 of our area stores. The ideal candidate should have previous experience in general maintenance, knowledge of basic building /facilities repairs and be comfortable traveling between locations. The maintenance technician is a key member of the Chamberlin’s team providing quality and timely service in all locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs routine maintenance tasks such as inspecting, repairing, and monitoring buildings and equipment.
• Assist with facility repairs as needed i.e. light bulbs, ballasts and replacing ceiling tiles etc.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Communication with tradesmen and other service members as needed.
• Travel daily between locations as needed (valid FL DL required)
• Occasional nights and weekends when needed
  
  

Education requirements:

• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  
  

Experience/Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of maintenance and/or handyman experience
• Light plumbing and electrical work
• Mechanical aptitude and trouble shooting ability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent time management skills with strong interpersonal skills
  
  

Computer /Technical Skills:

• Current experience with Microsoft office products
• Office equipment: Copiers, multiline phones, and other office equipment
  
  

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift minimum of 50 pounds when needed.
• Ability to stand throughout shift
• Ability to lift items above head
• Ability to stoop, bend and lift items.
• Ladder work required
