Loss Mitigation Specialist

The Loss Mitigation Specialist is responsible for handling investor requests, researching loan information, & acting as a liaison between investors and BSI servicing departments.

What You Will Do

• Interact with Clients in a professional manner through email or by phone.
• Add all files and authorizations to BSI imaging system.
• Follow federal and state laws dealing with debt collection.
• Responsible for meeting legal requirements and following internal policies.
• Review departmental P&Ps, OPS Training Manuals, & Client Directives
• Participate in special projects and audits.
• Outgoing Correspondence – MOD packages, Deferments, TPP’s, Final MOD docs, CFPB letters (incomplete and complete), Online Letters (all options, campaigns, etc.)
• Updating Processing Tracker – track the daily process of files from package received through MOD complete or denied.
• Prepare borrower agreements for execution for borrower and internal signatures.
• Data Integrity – compliance, CFPB, REG Sol, LM Flags and Task, Imaging, Fiserv Documentation
• Pipeline Management – taking ownership of file from beginning to end, communicating directly with SPOCs to push files to closing.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines. The ability to sit for long periods of time is essential.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time office position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; one mandatory Saturday each month 8:00 am -12:00 pm

Education and Experience

• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office; specifically Excel and Word
• Notary License strongly preferred.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Mortgage industry, preferred.
• Prior experience in debt collection preferred.
